Why is the first thing that is done as a meeting of the House convenes (well 2nd, after someone reads a letter from Nancy Pelosi that she's too lazy to show upt to do her job) is a prayer led by a chaplain?
Look, I'm sure that he is a great guy, and his prayer was very nice, however I thought we had a separation of church and state. For God's sake (pun intended), the prayer happens before they say the pledge of allegiance!
I know there are far too many problems in our country at the moment, but this struck me as just plain absurd.
